Solar Thermal – the Urja Heat program
Solar thermal systems are offered under the Urja Heat program. Requirement for hot water for cooking / washing / bathing purposes can be easily met through products offered under the Urja Heat program. Solar Geysers for residential and commercial purposes are offered under the Urja Heat program. The capacity ranges from 100 litres to 1000 litres per day and depends upon customer needs.
Urja Cook - Solar Cookers
Rural households typically use firewood and ‘gobar’ for fuel for cooking in villages. In urban areas also, there is over-dependence on LPG / gas cylinders for the purpose of planned cooking needs. Solar Cookers are a perfect substitute for eliminating use of conventional (and other carbon emitting/polluting fuels) sources that can be used for cooking tasty and delicious meals/heating purposes at virtually zero costs. The convenience of solar energy available for meeting part cooking needs is an additional incentive. Solar Cookers are available at a price of less than INR 3000/-.
Urja Finance
The entire range of products may be purchased using an Urja Finance program. The program is devised in such a manner that the savings derived from use of renewable energy products can help self-finance investments in such products. Repayments can range from 3 months to 36 months based on several criteria and size of project/ investments. The Urja Finance program is available on merit basis to deserving candidates and is at the sole discretion of our financing partners.
Urja Awake
As part of Urja Awake program, we work with Corporates, NGOs and welfare associations / self help groups for structured day workshops for educating participants on efficient energy usage and building awareness on use of renewable energy technology that is available for villages and urban areas. Infact, corporates who have as part of CSR (corporate social responsibility) plans and initiatives can be provided customized plans based on target segments for whom the workshop is held. We can also install equipment on behalf of donors and corporates, based on selection criteria laid down, and provide audited records and evidences of installations done in villages / targeted sites.
Urja Alliance
We are also keen to partner with like-minded organizations in extending use of our products in local communities on a participatory basis. Local community groups, self-help groups, village and urban welfare groups, residents’ welfare organizations are welcome to contact us and proposals can be considered for joint financing / investments on a case-to-case basis.
At Urja Unlimited, we continually seek opportunities to develop international programs, in partnership with international agencies, government ministries, educational institutions, nongovernmental organizations and/or community-based organizations, for the purpose of promoting solar renewable energy use amongst people.
We are currently in the process of testing technology and sourcing of quality products for solar powered refrigerators, solar air conditioners and look to forge alliances with manufacturers operating in this category.
